A Life Lesson Quote From My Father, Who Art In Heaven

"Further your education and you will get somewhere." Edward A. Murak, my Father, Who Art In Heaven. A life lesson from a Father, who was a successful business man and only had a sixth grade education.

A Life Lesson Quote on the Dignity of Work From My Father, Who Art In Heaven

"Learn how to work with your hands and you will never be out of work."  Edward A. Murak, my Father, Who Art In Heaven.

Words of Encouragement From My Father, Who Art In Heaven, That Still Apply Today

"Do the best you can do." Edward A. Murak, my Father, Who Art In Heaven.

Words of Wisdom From My Father, Who Art In Heaven

"Finish your schooling."  Edward A. Murak, my Father, Who Art In Heaven.

These words need to be put into perspective. My Father was one of seven children who grew up in Buffalo, New York during the early 1900's. His parents were immigrants to the US from Poland and they did not speak any English. Dad left school in the sixth grade to get a job to help feed the family and start saving money for his youngest brother's education. Then a few years later, the Great Depression hit the United States.

"Finish your schooling" was often often repeated by my Father to us as children growing up. He wanted us to have a better life than he did.

          Thanks Dad!

A Life Lesson From Repairing Vacuum Cleaners With My Father, Who Art In Heaven

"If you have to force it, change your approach or you will break what you are trying to repair." Edward A. Murak, my Father, Who Art In Heaven.

To this day, whether I am repairing something or consulting a client, I still follow my Father's advice from this practical life long lesson. Thanks Dad!

A Dusting of Fresh Snow Brings Back A Memory, From My Father, Who Art In Heaven

Today my brother and sister-in-law are up from Lewisberry, PA to visit. We had a light dusting of snow last night. So I went out to shovel off the driveway before they came. Enjoying the fresh air while walking up and down the driveway, my thoughts led to why am I doing this? It is warm outside and I am talking about "sugar on the cookie" not inches or feet of snow like Buffalo gets a bad rap for in the media. Then my Father's words crossed my mind...

"Hurry up! Clean up! Company is coming." Edward A. Murak, my Father, Who Art In Heaven.

A Quote From My Father, Who Art In Heaven, That Taught Me to Appreciate Any Gift

"Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!" Edward A. Murak, my Father who Art in heaven.

The origin of this quote is unknown but goes back hundreds of years and has roots in several languages. When I was a kid growing up we didn't live on a farm and I always thought it was one of my Dad's corny sayings. As an adult I came to realize my Dad was trying to teach me a valuable life lesson.

Dad, you never gave me a horse but you also never gave me any bull. Thanks Dad!

What My Father, Who Art In Heaven, Used to Say to Offer Me Words of Encouragement...

"You haven't reached your full potential." Edward A. Murak (1915-1984), my Father who art in heaven. Words of encouragement he shared with me over 30 years ago and those words still keep me going to this day. Thanks Dad!

Quote for the Day from My Father, Who Art In Heaven

"I can't sit that long." - Words of Edward A. Murak, my Father, who art in heaven. He could never sit still for long. He was always "on-the-go" until the day he died.

Thanksgiving Day Quote from My Father, Who Art In Heaven

"Share and share a like."  Edward A. Murak  - My Father, who art in heaven.
